Terms And Conditions Of Business

These Terms and Conditions are the standard terms which apply to the provision of window cleaning services by CRT Window Cleaning (“the Trader”) to customers who require window cleaning services and or gutter cleans to be provided at their home on a regular basis.
These Terms and Conditions of Business represent a contract between CRT Window Cleaning and the Customer.
Please read them carefully and ensure that you understand and agree to them as they affect your legal rights. If you have any questions, please contact us.
These Terms and Conditions apply where the customer is a “Consumer” as defined by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

“business” means any business, trade, craft or profession carried on by you or any other person or organisation;

“consumer” means a “consumer” as defined by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and in relation to these Terms and Conditions means an individual customer of the trader who receives
Window Cleaning Services for their personal use and for purposes wholly or mainly outside the purposes of any business;

“property” means your home, as detailed in the order and the Agreement, at which We are to provide the Window Cleaning Services;

“visit” means any occasion, scheduled or otherwise, on which the Window Cleaner visits the property to provide the Window Cleaning Services;

“we/us/our” means the trader and includes all employees, agents and sub-contractors of the trader;

“windowcleaner” means us who will be responsible for providing the Window Cleaning Services;

“Window Cleaning Services” means the Window Cleaning Services we will provide as specified in the Agreement; and gutter cleaning service;

“you/your” means a consumer or who is a customer of the trader.

By verbally placing an order for services when meeting or by telephone or email and/or website booking or any other communication medium, you (customer) accept Our (CRT Window Cleaning) services Terms and Conditions of Business.

What I can expect from CRT Window Cleaning
CRT Window Cleaning use the water fed pole system, to clean the windows of our customers property. Our customers are informed that the best results will follow after the first two/three cleans. The first clean, we remove any dirt that may have built up over time. Although the windows have been cleaned, a small amount of dirt may continue to run down and there may be a few marks after we have finished.
Following on from the next couple of cleans, when done regularly, the windows will be left clean. We therefore advise allowing two or three cleans to get a complete picture of the good results that can be achieved and expected. We offer the choice of 4,6,8 weekly interval cleans. Every effort will be made to provide our service on the appointed day, although we reserve the right to alter the day without notice.
We will ensure that our Window Cleaning Services and our Gutter Clean Services are performed with reasonable care and skill and to a reasonable standard which is consistent with best practice in the window cleaning market. You can expect a professional, reliable, and efficient service for us.

Weather
We will clean your windows in most weather conditions including light rain. The quality of your window clean will not be affected by rain or poor weather conditions so the results will always be the same. Snow and high winds do affect our services & schedule.

Access to the exterior of your property
If we need to have access to the rear of your property, all gates should be unlocked. If we are unable to access any part of your property due to locked gates, we will only clean the accessible areas and charge accordingly.
All windows must be closed, before our arrival. Any areas with open windows will not be cleaned. In order to reach certain parts of exterior windows, gutters, or conservatory roofs, ladders may be used. We try to ensure that no scratches and/or bumps occur but very occasionally these do occur during a clean. When the customer asks CRT Window Cleaning to undertake a contract, it is assumed the customer thereby gives full permission for CRT Window Cleaning operatives to park vehicles at the private property to carry out cleaning works.
Please ensure that we have Your correct contact details as we will send you text reminder the day before each visit.

Payment
If you are available after we have carried out the work, we can take card payment from you and provide you with a receipt.  If you are not available, we will leave a card to say we have carried out the work requested with the amount owed and ask that payment is made no later than 5 days after our visit via bank transfer. Our account number and sort code is printed on the rear of the card we will post through your door. Please use the first line of your address as the payment reference.
If payment has not been made after 5 days, CRT Window Cleaning will send the customer a reminder via chosen contact method. If you fail to make payment within the stated times above and your bill continues to be unpaid for more than 30 days CRT Window Cleaning reserve the right to suspend your cleaning. If we then fail to receive monies owed within 60 days we have the right to contact a collection agency to recover the debt, you will be liable for all related charges, collection agency fees and court related fees.
If the customer changes or alters the requested services, the agreed-upon price will be subject to changes.
We strive to be competitive, but our prices will increase by the rate of inflation each year.

Cancelling a window or gutter clean
You must give us at least 2 days notice if you want to postpone the Window Cleaner to provide the window cleaning services or gutter clean on a particular day or at a particular time. We will not charge you for cancelled visits provided such notice is given. If less than 2 days notice is given we will request payment from you at the normal rate.
Every effort will be made to clean on the appointed day, although CRT Window Cleaning reserve the right to alter the day without notice. We will endeavour to make another appointment as soon as mutually convenient.

Liability
CRT Window Cleaning are not responsible for scratches or stains incurred by previous building work, which may only become visible when cleaning the glass. CRT Window Cleaning will not accept liability for water damage to the property or items within the property caused as a result of windows being left open prior to a clean.
We are not responsible for any pre-existing faults or damage in or to your property that we may discover while providing the Window Cleaning Services. CRT Window Cleaning will not accept liability for damage caused by decorative or structural defects at your property, such as, but not limited to, open/broken trickle vents, window/conservatory trims, rotten, cracking brittle fascias, guttering, decorative bars stuck on glass, unsecured windows and doors, leaking seals, rotting or damaged frames, loose stuck on lead, flaking paint, etc.
We are not liable for any loss or damage you suffer which results from your failure to follow any reasonable instructions given by us.
Please note that if you engage CRT Window Cleaning to clean your windows and or gutters during periods of extreme cold weather, we do not accept any liability for accidents sustained by customers due to slipping on ice formed from water used in our cleaning process.
We take appropriate security measures to protect our customers and CRT Window Cleaning against unauthorised access to your personal information. Despite the measures that we take, no data transmission over the Internet, any wireless network including mobile phones can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. To this end, you acknowledge that: there are security and privacy limitations to the Internet and mobile phones which are beyond our control. Security and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this site or mobile phones cannot be guaranteed.
We are covered for public liability Insurance.

Health & Safety
We will endeavor to clean all areas requested, but if we deem any window/s, conservative roofs or gutters to be inaccessible or unsafe to clean, we will not clean them. You must ensure that all areas to be cleaned are structurally sound prior to cleaning.
Safety is of paramount importance. We request that small children and pets be enclosed in the safety of the house for the duration of the clean.
We will be unable to move obstacles such as but not exclusive to: garden furniture, pots etc. If these or any other items inhibit access to an area of your property, we will be unable to clean it.
We do not bring our water hoses through your property or climb over fences.

Service issues/Complaints feedback
We always use reasonable efforts to ensure that our provision of the Window Cleaning Services is trouble-free. If however, there is a problem with the Window Cleaning Services or gutter clean, we request that you inform us within 24 hours. We will use reasonable efforts to remedy problems with the window cleaning services as quickly as is reasonably possible and practical.
If the Window Cleaning Service or Gutter Clean is not performed in line with information that we have provided about them, you also have the right to request repeat performance or, if that is not possible or done within a reasonable time without inconvenience to you (or if our breach concerns information about us that does not relate to the performance of the Window Cleaning Services), you have the right to a reduction in price. We always welcome feedback from our customers and, while we always use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that your experience as a customer of ours is a positive one, we nevertheless want to hear from you if you have any cause for complaint.
As a consumer, you have certain legal rights with respect to the purchase of goods or services. For full details of your legal rights and guidance on exercising them, it is recommended that you contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Office.

Confidentiality
CRT Window Cleaning retain data from customers in the form of Name and relevant Contact Details (address, phone number and email address). This information is kept
on a secured database and is for the use of CRT Window Cleaning and will not be sold or passed on to third parties as required under the data protection act. Please note that we are legally bound to reveal information, including personal information, if law requires us to do so.

We may from time to time change these Terms and Conditions without giving you notice, but we will use our reasonable endeavours to inform you as soon as is reasonably possible of any such changes We may transfer (assign) our obligations and rights under the Agreement to a third party (this may happen, for example, if we sell our business). If this occurs, we will inform you in writing. Your rights under the Agreement will not be affected and our obligations under the Agreement will be transferred to the third party who will remain bound by them.
